"The man who murdered himself" in this issue of House of Mystery was Marv Wolfman's first horror yarn and the first DC story illustrated by Berni Wrightson (who left the "e" off his name to distinguish himself from a famous diver.) In the story, narrated by "caretaker" Cain, an estate in 1882 was haunted by the ghost of a man who killed himself. Fans of the comic didn't know it, but they were witnessing the earliest effort of two greats who would become renowned for their tales of terror and suspense.Contains:Welcome to the House of MysterySour NoteCain's True Case Files: The Man Who Murdered HimselfPage 13Cain's Game RoomThe Widow's WalkCain's True Case Files: The Dead Tell Tales
